iRayUSA partnered with American Defense Manufacturing to produce the Obverse MICRO Shoe (OMS) to enable helmet mounting of the RICO MICRO thermal unit in a dual-mounted or obverse-mounted configuration.
This part combines a standard dovetail shoe commonly used on helmet mounted night vision optics and a rigid frame designed specifically to fit the RICO MICRO unit using three housing screws. In a dual configuration, one MICRO unit will be mounted with the AC52 PICTAIL Helmet/Weapon Shoe while the second MICRO unit is mounted with this Obverse shoe to allow for proper spacing and alignment of the thermal units with the battery doors facing outward.
Machined from 6061 aircraft aluminum alloy, the Obverse Mount provides a strong mounting interface while adding only minimal weight. The surface is treated with type 3 hardcoat anodized finish for a minimal reflection and improved wear resistance.
